I need to start this with a story. Years ago, when the first Wal-Mart came to town, my youngest daughter and I went with excitement to shop. I wanted some fabric, and while we were waiting for it to be cut, the saleslady was really cranky.
Usually, things like that don't bother me, but on the way out to the car, I commented to my daughter that "the lady in fabrics sure needed to treat the customers better." Little did I know that a manager overheard my comment and followed us out the door and asked me what happened. I told her but said I didn't want to get anyone in trouble. She thanked me for my input.
The "head" of the whole thing had gotten permission from Wal-Mart executives to do it, and, supposedly, everyone working there knew what was going on. My husband had a video camera and I had a little camera, which we used to take pictures of the joyous event. We both (as well as many other people) got yelled at by Wal-Mart employees, telling us that picture-taking was against policy in Wal-Mart.
Maybe there is a policy; maybe not. Either way, what harm could people taking pictures of young adults doing good things for the enjoyment of other people have done? If their (the Wal-Mart employees') children or grandchildren were dancing, they would have wanted to take pictures, too.
Wal-Mart has enough problems with keeping customers happy because of the long lines we always stand in. Why make it worse by being cranky when something positive is going on? I wish we had somewhere else to shop — I certainly would!

I live in San Simon so have to travel to where ever I shop, but Safford is the closest, being about 57 miles from my home. After several years of poor service and grumpy employees at your Walmart, I now dirve to Silver City to do my Walmart shopping Not only are the employees friendlier and the service better, but the attitude of the customers is 100% brighter than in your store.
A cranky business atmosphere makes for cranky shoppers. "

The associates get treated badly by both the managers and the customers and you expect them to be in good spirits.
Others say-If you don't like it, find another job. That is an easy thing to say, but this county is over 15% unemployed. I guess that that does not mean anything if you have a job and are happy with it. "
